Established in the 1980’s and growing out as a family owned business, Simplex Hardware GmbH launched its first solid stainless steel product line consisting of a fine collection of solid lever handles. Later on expanding the line to include door hardware accessories and a variety of pull handles in stainless steel and brass. During the 90’s Simplex Hardware concentrated its efforts to enhance the mechanical hardware division to include all EN security locks and quality keyed cylinders in its scope. During these efforts, the ANSI grade product range was created and launched in the North American market.

In 1995, its main business was set up in ‘Albert Einstein’ In Germany and later on in the year 2003 expanding into Canada as a base for its North American Products.
